Zhanna Thomas is a contemporary Abstract & Expressionist artist best known for her use of vibrant colors and creative process. Her richly layered art embodies her natural curiosity, while her experimentation with textures and materials provide interesting expressions of her passion. Her vision and technique involve the exploration of pigments and their configurations while utilizing a wide variety of materials in her art. This process elicits a multitude of emotional and intellectual responses, allowing the viewer to interpret each piece in their own individual way.
Artist Zhanna Thomas was born in Russia near the Ural Mountains. After graduating from high school, she moved to Ukraine where she worked as an interior designer of clubs and restaurants. She also owned a women’s clothing sewing business. Later she moved to US and specialized in millinery of KY hats and jewelry from gem stones and pearls.
While working on her unique and authentic pieces, Zhanna’s sense of style and her passion to create have taken her on a journey of self-discovery in search for new forms of expression. That’s how she started exploring a multidimensional world of abstract art with its captivating shapes and exuberant color patterns.
Her extensive travel has taken her all over the world allowing her to draw inspiration from the people and cultures she encounters. Whether strolling along cobblestone streets of Europe’s most picturesque towns, hiking high into the majestic Southern Alps, exploring the wonders of winding canyons in the American Southwest or trekking through the lush jungles of Vietnam, she finds artistic inspiration around every corner. She takes the extraordinary compositions the world offers, and through her art, creates a visual harmony that unlocks the beauty and knowledge of the hidden world.
